Rosemary Barclay, BSc, PhD, CNS
Rosemary is the founder and owner of the wellness center, Bonne Santé LLC( which means good health in French)  in Old Lyme, CT. Rosemary has a Bachelor’s degree and a PhD in biochemistry and is a board certified nutrition specialist and esthetician. Her many years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical research have allowed her to conduct in-depth research on individual cases and make careful recommendations to clients. Rosemary believes that nutritious foods are fundamental to good health. Nutrition affects many facets of your life including your health, wellbeing, the condition of your skin, energy levels, immunity, mood and your performance in sport. Rosemary’s doctorate degree specialized in allergy and immunology and she holds the Certified Nutrition Specialist qualification. The objective of the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential is to demonstrate that the individual has the advanced knowledge and clinical experience suited for the practice of science-based clinical nutrition. Individuals with a post graduate degree in nutrition or related field and those individuals with  a postdoctoral or nursing or MD credential are considered eligible to sit the board examinations. Rosemary completed her board examinations in 2008 and has demonstrated skills in therapeutic nutrition, nutrition assessment, developmental nutrition, micro nutrients, macro nutrients, functional nutrition, nutrient depletion & drug/herb interactions, dietary supplements, nutritional disorders, pharmacology, and biomedical science courses that involve nutrition-related metabolic systems.

Rosemary’s unique research background allows her to sort through the maze of conflicting nutritional information and dietary myths to provide clients with accurate information, advice and guidance. She works with individuals, groups, preschools, schools and small corporations to provide information via seminars and fun lunch and learn activities. Her passion is to educate clients to nourish their bodies with healthy home cooked foods and use supplements where necessary. She also advises clients with acne and rosacea on beneficial nutritional changes, facial treatments and use of appropriate organic skincare to improve the condition of their skin. She works with busy executives, young mothers and teens, educating them to nourish their bodies with simple nutritionally dense foods and simple effective skincare

Rosemary relocated to Old Lyme, CT from England in 2001 with her husband Paul and three children. She became a US citizen in 2010 but even prior to this volunteered at the local schools and remains passionate about education . She was one of the founder members of the Lyme/Old Lyme Education foundation and today serves on the Foundation’s grants committee. She is actively involved in the local Chamber of Commerce and is the current chair of the scholarship committee. Rosemary and her family are active runners and are involved in XC country, crew to collegiate levels and spend most days pursuing sport in a variety of forms.
 In 2007, Rosemary vision was realized in creating her own tranquil wellness center in Old Lyme, CT. Situated in a quiet and tranquil location in Old Lyme, Bonne Sante’s treatment rooms are tastefully decorated and most importantly therapists provide clients with individual care and thoughtful recommendations.  Bonne Santé’s services include nutritional counseling for individuals including athletes, sports massage and also provides wellness services to small corporations.  Other services include organic facials to benefit adults and teens, with a particular emphasis on those afflicted with acne. With careful research and much thought Bonne Santé’s Clear Skin Program offers a solution to problematic skin without the use of antibiotics or harsh chemicals.

Shannon Haynes, RD
Shannon has been a registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience in both hospital and community settings 
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional sciences/dietetics from the University of Connecticut and completed her Dietetic Internship, a necessary experiential component to  becoming a registered dietitian, with a focus in community wellness from Keene State College. Shannon has extensive experience in nutritional counseling of all ages from children through elderly and is certified in childhood and adolescent weight management. She has been working with children and families for over 10 years, and now as a mother of two children, has been able to apply theory to practice. As a registered dietitian and a distance runner, Shannon also brings her expertise of sports nutrition to Bonne Santé Wellness Center, advising individual athletes and youth sports teams to achieve their optimal performance.  She has attended specialist courses in sports nutrition and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group.  Her experience in a hospital setting over the past 8 years has helped her to become competent in clinical nutrition in relation to a wide array of medical conditions, as well as medication and nutrient interactions.

Susan Selden- Certified Reflexologist
 Susan is a gifted reflexologist with over 15 years of experience. She attended The Laura Norman School of Reflexology in New York City, graduating in 1998 and receiving national certification by the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) in 1999. Susan's natural calm personality and gift to relate to individuals combined with her extensive experience in reflexology has led to the development of a successful career in reflexology.


JoAnne Shugart-Gears - Esthetician
 JoAnne Anne Shugart-Gears is a certified aesthetician with extensive experience in advanced skincare techniques including organic peels; microdermabrasion and full body waxing. She believes in the philosophy of Bonne Sante's total wellness through balanced nutrition, exercise with natural manipulation of the skin's muscles and tone coupled with organic skincare.  JoAnne offers advice and individualized result-orientated treatments for all types of skincare including problematic skin concerns; aging and rosacea-prone skin. She is informed on the latest techniques and skincare advances and is ever learning as these advances become available.  She offers all her services with a calming and nurturing touch that provides each client not only with "naturally glowing skin" but also a therapeutic and rejuvenating experience each and every time they visit her at Bonne Santé’s tranquil location.


Jenna Snelgrove, Licensed Massage therapist and Certified Esthetician 
Jenna  is a licensed massage therapist and esthetician dedicated to educating clients to achieve wellness. Jenna is keen to develop a genuine relationship with her clients. Jenna joined our wellness center with a great experience with organic facials, micro-dermabrasion,  swedish massage, deep tissue massage, Ashiatsu oriental bar therapy, prenatal massage, chair massage, Reiki and reflexology. She is able to custom the right ritual for you. With her strong belief in the power of touch, Jenna will bring you into the present moment to aid you with your journey to renewal.

Susan Graham 
(CT#6582)

Susan is a licensed massage therapist and personal fitness trainer. She received her massage training from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and is Nationally Board Certified through NCBTMB, which has stringent requirements and background testing. Susan is also certified in Bamboo Fusion® massage. Her interests include tennis, hiking and she plays slide guitar in a local band.


Matthew Mooers
(CT license # 007693)
Matthew is a graduate from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Groton. He has experience with athletes including the members of the Connecticut Sun WNBA team with whom he is currently working as a volunteer. His massage style is primarily geared toward decreasing chronic pain and aiding in the recovery of injuries. He specializes in a more vigorous style of massage, combining Orthopedic and Deep Tissue Massage, and often incorporates Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and PNF Stretching techniques. For those more interested in relaxation, Matthew has training in Swedish massage as well. His interest in health and wellbeing also extends to martial arts, including Tai Chi, and he often suggests stretches and exercises that clients can perform at home to aid recovery.

Julie Kantor (CT license #004344)
Julie graduated from CT Center for Massage Therapy-Westport in 2005. She is Board Certified through NCBTMB and is an AMTA member. Julie is experienced in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Pregnancy Massage and is certified in Reflexology.  She is committed to being the best she can at her profession and pursues frequent continuing education courses in a wide variety of topics.  She blends the best of what she learns into her massage sessions to create a unique experience based on her client’s needs that is both relaxing and restorative.

Isabelle McKeon (CT License #8627)
Isabelle is  a licensed massage therapist who specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, and Pregnancy Massage. A local from Old Lyme, Isabelle is a new graduate from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Groton, CT. She is dedicated to restoring balance and wellness to every client and provides a  personalized therapeutic experience tailored to the individual’s needs. Isabelle has always had a passion for helping others which persistently inspires her to expand her knowledge base. She has an organic approach to healing and a precise, comprehensive knowledge of bodywork.
